Delicious Oatmeal Breakfast
by: Me too!

My step dad gave me his recipe for oatmeal. And I must say it's the best. It contains everything that is supposed to help lower cholesterol and blood pressue. I was doing this faithfully for 1 month then I stopped and noticed that my blood pressure was rising again and a recent blood test, showed that my triglycerides were very high (thought I didn't need to change my eating habits- big mistake!) Anyway, hope you enjoy this!

Breakfast Oatmeal - 2 servings

3 cups water
1 1/2 cups old fashioned oatmeal
pinch of salt
1/2 tsp cinnamon
2 TBS wheat germ, rounded
2 TBS ground flax seed meal
2 TBS brown sugar or Agave Syrup, opt'l
1/3 cup frozen blueberries, per serving.

Cooking Instructions:
In 3 qt stockpot, add everything except, brown sugar and frozen blueberries. Bring to a full boil. Add brown sugar, or sugar replacement cover with lid (keep covered) and remove from heat let sit 5 mins. Divide into serving dishes and top each with 1/3c blueberries or raspberries.
